SSF HOA Board of Directors
The Sonata Single Family Board of Directors is responsible for maintaining the reputation of our community, managing the financial assets of the Homeowner's Association, and planning for the future.
Our Board consists of 5 members, who are elected to serve a 2-year term. The Officers are elected by the Board members and include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Director at Large.
All homeowners are encouraged to become involved with a Committee or the Board. Input from many neighbors is vital to keeping the Board active and attuned to the needs and concerns of our residents.
Ann Smith, President
As an original homeowner in Sonata, I have lived in Sonata continuously since 1984. I am excited to fill a two-year vacancy on the Board, as only a full Board can effectively manage the Association’s business and best serve the community. I filled a vacancy once before, twenty years ago, and then as now, I’m helping on the landscape committee, which is currently chaired by Sonja.
I have over forty years experience in real estate management, leasing, sales, acquisition and development, and was also an attorney for over twenty years. It’s interesting and insightful to serve on the Board of the Sonata Single Family Homeowners Association and I encourage other homeowners to participate on the Board when an opportunity arises.

Sonja Lindberg, Director At Large
I have been a homeowner in Sonata Single Family since 2017. After living in Valley Center for 24 years and raising two daughters there, it was a major decision for me to move closer to town. I chose Sonata for its proximity to open green spaces. We are virtually surrounded by San Dieguito River Park, Vineyard Golf Course and Kit Carson Community Park. Add to that the over 90 acres of conservation open space in the community and we have an ideal mix of city and nature. Keeping the neighborhood beautiful and healthy for all to enjoy will be my focus as a Board Member and Landscape Committee Chair. I am a retired clinical veterinarian of 33 years and recently completed a Masters Degree in Conservation Biology. I truly believe in the power of diverse community members coming together to make positive change happen. In that spirit, I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming months and years.
